What is it?

This plugin is based upon the old AALB-Plugin which was discontinued by Amazon in March 2020 when they introduced their new Product Advertising API 5.0 and deactivated the old 4.0 API. As a consequence that all shortcodes generated by that plugin to stop working.

This is basically the same plugin as before, just connected to the new PAAPI version.

For Whom is it?

If you used the AALB-Plugin and want to keep using your existing shortcodes and just want to keep things going as they were, this plugin is for you. You don't have to buy any other plugin and convert your shortcodes!

If you are looking for new features, there are some other awesome plugins.

Test / Disclaimer

Although I use this plugin on my own project and it works well for me, it is not widely tested - so there may by some issues. I will try to fix all upcoming problems.

Installation instructions

1. Upload the plugin files to the plugins directory of your Wordpress installation.
2. Check if the Link Builder for Amazon Associates plugin appears in your Wordpress backend.
3. Activate the Link Builder for Amazon Associates plugin.
4. For configuration follow the instructions on the "About" page of the plugin.

1. When have your PAAPI credentials been generated?
   1. Before September 30, 2017: You might need to migrate your Account and create new credentials.
   2. After September 30, 2017: You should be fine, but if the plugin does'nt work you should try using new API credentials.
2. Upload the plugin files to the plugins directory of your Wordpress installation.
3. Check if the Link Builder for Amazon Associates plugin appears in your Wordpress backend.
4. Deactivate the AALB. DO NOT UNINSTALL IT!
5. Activate the Link Builder for Amazon Associates plugin.
6. If everything works fine you can delete the amazon-associates-link-builder/ directory from your server.
